Clinical Research
Since 1999, the Hampton Family Practice research department has been providing quality medical research for phase II through phase IV clinical trials. We believe that clinical research is improved by including the experience of patients treated in the medical office setting. In addition to providing opportunities for patients to participate in new treatment studies, Hampton Family Practice is also actively engaged in new ideas and advances in medicine.
Hampton Family Practice is proud to be in collaboration with Velocity Clinical Research.
At Hampton Family Practice we aim to provide the best possible care for our patients, and that is why we offer clinical trials. Clinical trials make it possible to develop new medicines, vaccines and cures, and also offer options for our patients who struggle to find effective treatment options currently on the market.
Hampton Family Practice is proud to be in collaboration with Velocity Clinical Research.
Hampton Family Practice and Velocity Clinical Research work together to run clinical studies and help develop better therapies for not only our patients, but for people worldwide. If we believe a study is right for you, someone from Hampton Family Practice or Velocity may call you at our request. As physicians, we fully support the clinical studies you are contacted about. We encourage you to consider participation if you are contacted.
Potentially Help Prevent Seasonal Influenza (Flu) And COVID-19 With a Single Injection
Learn more about participating in a clinical trial for an investigational combination vaccine aimed at preventing respiratory illness from seasonal flu and COVID-19. Currently, there are no combination vaccines providing protection against seasonal flu and COVID-19 with a single injection. These viruses infect the lungs and breathing passages and are easily spread from person to person.
Seasonal flu causes approximately 30,000 to 50,000 deaths and over 380,000 hospitalizations per year in the United States. COVID-19 was declared a public health emergency in 2020 and was estimated to be responsible for approximately 3 million deaths worldwide in 2020.
Who can join?
This clinical trial is looking for adult participants. To join, you must:
heart health research study
Cardiovascular disease (CVD), commonly referred to as heart disease, is a leading cause of death worldwide, contributing to nearly one-third of all deaths in 2019. Pioneering research into medications and devices designed to treat or prevent CVD is crucial for advancing medical knowledge and enhancing the well-being of individuals worldwide. By joining a clinical trial at Velocity, you not only contribute to the progress of medical science, but may also gain insights into potential new medications under development, undergo study-related medical examinations without incurring any costs and receive compensation for your participation (specific amounts may vary for each study).
RSV Vaccine Study
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) has the potential to cause infections in the lungs and respiratory tract, with symptoms often resembling those of a cold, including a runny nose, sore throat, cough, and headache. RSV can lead to severe conditions such as pneumonia, particularly in children and seniors. RSV stands as the primary cause of pneumonia and bronchiolitis among infants in the United States. The development of a safe and effective vaccine holds the promise of saving lives and preventing a significant number of hospitalizations. For over a decade, Velocity Clinical Research has been actively supporting RSV vaccine studies and frequently engages in research involving children, seniors, and even pregnant women.
How to Participate in an RSV Vaccine Trial
New studies are added each week. Contact Velocity and speak with an enrollment specialist, and together, we’ll review studies that might be right for you and answer your questions. By participating in a trial, you may also:
