Hampton Family Practice, in business for more than 40 years, offers a full-service, on-site clinical lab. When you work with us, you won’t have to spend the time and resources traveling to an off-site laboratory facility or completing any additional insurance paperwork. Having on-site laboratory services also reduces the opportunity for human error, since your samples are handled by fewer people. What’s more, your health care provider will receive your results quickly.

On-Site Clinical Lab in Hampton, VA

Our lab is staffed with friendly, specially-trained phlebotomists and lab technicians, who can perform blood tests and specimen processing as ordered by your Hampton Family Practice health care provider. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible during your lab visit, while still completing your lab services quickly and efficiently.

To help ensure that you have a positive lab experience, we offer the following tips to help you get ready for your visit.

  • We recommend you remain well hydrated at all times, but especially in the 24 hours prior to your lab visit. Drink plenty of water starting the night before your anticipated blood draw.
  • Continue to take any prescribed medications as directed by your provider.
  • Do not urinate before coming in for a blood draw; quite frequently a urine sample is also needed.
  • If your test requires fasting, do not eat during the 12 hours before the test.
When you work with us, your patient care team will receive your test results quickly from our lab technicians, so they can contact you as soon as possible with the results. We also give you the option of obtaining your own copy of your lab report via our secure patient portal.
