Tammy Beavers, M.D.

My name is Dr. Tammy Beavers, M.D., and I have recently joined Hampton Family Practice as a provider in Family Medicine. I am a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. I did my Family Practice Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. I joined the Air Force where I was stationed at Langley AFB from 200-2004 and then entered private practice in Hampton Roads where I have been providing Family Medicine services ever since.

Within the field of Family Care Medicine, I have special interest in the areas of chronic disease management and women’s health. I have special training in using IUDs and implanted contraception devices.

I love being able to develop personal relationships with my patients and their families. I enjoy watching patients achieve their personal health goals and providing assistance along the way.

Being able to walk with the patient during their successes, hardships and losses is such a joy and a privilege.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, John, and my three teenage children. I am active in my church and love to volunteer whenever I can. I also enjoy yoga, bicycling, cooking and being at the beach.
